Operators and engineers, in the same room.

OrbitX exists because the two halves of a manufacturing transformation are rarely done by the same people, and the gap between them is where the value goes.

Advice that has to survive being built.

A consultant who never has to implement a recommendation will recommend differently.

So will an engineer who never had to explain to a plant head why a number moved. We built OrbitX so that the same people do both, because that constraint improves the advice. In practice, the person who spends a week watching your changeovers specifies the capture screen, and is in the room when an operator first uses it.

A small senior team

Deliberately. The model does not work with a delivery pyramid, because continuity is the point.

Not locked to one answer

We license our own solution, implement other platforms and build bespoke. Which one you get depends on your process, not on what we would rather sell.

Diagnosis first

The audit fee is the same whichever of those you end up with, or none of them. That is independence built into the commercial model.

Two disciplines, one team.

Transformation work fails at the seam between people who understand operations and people who can build systems. We removed the seam by putting both in the same team.

Discipline

Operations and process

People who have run production, quality, maintenance and improvement functions inside working plants, and who have had to explain a missed number to a plant head on a Monday morning.

They lead the audit, own the roadmap and decide what is worth digitising before anyone specifies a screen.

Discipline

Engineering, data and AI

People who have taken software into production and kept it there: machine connectivity and industrial protocols, data platforms, ERP and MES integration, application engineering, and machine learning where the data supports it.

They build what the roadmap calls for, and they were in the room when it was written.

Consultancies staff the first discipline and subcontract the second. Software firms staff the second and guess at the first. Holding both in one senior team is harder to run, and it is why our recommendations survive contact with the floor.

Who you will deal with

Not a partner who sells the work and hands it to someone you have not met. The person who scopes an OrbitX engagement is on your floor for it.

Founder

Shreyash Bagodi

More than a decade in manufacturing and in the digital transformation of manufacturing, on the plant side and on the solution side, with roles ranging from heading solution design for digital transformation to director at a digital transformation solution provider.

Working across many plants teaches something a single site cannot: the technology is rarely the constraint. The same failure patterns recur across sectors and products, and they are almost always about how work was designed, adopted and owned. OrbitX is structured around that observation.

Engagements are staffed by a small senior team, with specialist partners brought in where a discipline calls for it. You will know who will be on your site before the work starts.

What you can hold us to

We say when software is the wrong answer

Much of what is sold as a digitisation problem is a process problem. Automating it makes it faster, not better, and we would rather lose the build than take that work.

We measure before we change anything

Baselines taken before the build and measured after, against the numbers in the business case, including an honest report when a benefit did not land.

You own what we build

Source code, documentation and architecture handed over as we go. Your operation should never depend on our availability.

The same people throughout

Whoever walks your floor in the first week is in the room at go-live, with no re-briefing of a team that was not there.

The company

OrbitX is the trading name of OrbitX Infotech Private Limited, a company registered in India and based in Mumbai. We take on work in India and internationally. Proposals, contracts and invoices are issued in that name.

Start with the audit, not the software.

A fixed-scope diagnosis of where your plant loses information, what it costs you and what to fix first. The roadmap is yours to keep, whoever builds it.
